Dr. Douglas Benting successfully completed the examination process to be qualified as a Board Certified Prosthodontist and a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics in February 2011.  Becoming a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics is the highest recognition of achievement afforded by the prosthodontic specialty.

Obtaining board certification is a voluntary process that the doctor undergoes to demonstrate a high level of competency in the specialty practice.  The four part examination process requires practical demonstration and an advanced understanding of prosthodontic principles and techniques including restoration of dental implants, denture construction, crown and bridgework, and occlusion (the bite).  Board candidates must also demonstrate the ability to provide comprehensive patient care and show dedication to addressing each patient's unique needs and specific concerns while maintaining the highest level of ethical standards.

As a board certified prosthodontist, Dr. Benting is required to meet an increased level of continuing education requirements in order to maintain his certification and stay abreast of new developments in prosthodontic principles and dental materials.  His skills and techniques are steadfast, as is his dedication to being a pioneer in his field.
